There are three methods to install bar code components (fonts and DLL) with your application.
If the other files in your application are installed manually, you can also install bar code components (fonts and DLL) manually. Give the end-user the following (or similar) instructions.
| Note: It is not necessary to copy CIABAR32.DLL (CIABAR32) to the C:\Windows\System\ directory, you can keep the file in your applications main directory, with your main program files. |
- To copy file CIABAR32.DLL (CIABAR32) to your C:\Windows\System\ directory, use Windows Explorer.
| Note: If you cannot see this file in Windows Explorer,
choose menu View | Folder Options... click the View tab,
under the Hidden files folder, select Show all files.
Also, if Hide MS-DOS file extensions for file types that are registered is selected, then CIABAR32.DLL will appear in Windows Explorer as file CIABAR32 (without the file extension). |
If the other files in your application are installed by a professional install / setup program, you can also install bar code components.
DLL file CIABAR32.DLL can be added to the files which must be installed. The usual target directory is C:\Windows\System\
