|DATA: Numeric||LENGTH: Variable||CHECK: Optional|
ITF is a compact way of printing variable length, numeric only bar codes.
ITF bar codes must be an even length. The JIT series of software products automatically adds one leading zero to odd length fields. You can also decide on a suitable length for your system and pad all numbers with leading zeros to the same length.

Our JIT series of software products can automatically add a modulus 10 check character if desired.
If scanned at an angle, ITF bar codes are prone to short reads (where only part of the bar code is read). To prevent short reads bearer bars are used.
ITF bar codes are used in the shipping and warehousing industries; you'll often find them printed inside rectangles (or bearer bars) on the sides of corrugated boxes. Our JIT series of software products includes the capability to print all types of bearer bars.
If your bar codes need to contain letters, have a look at using Code 39 or Code 128.
