The cost of a license for each user is lower, when you purchase more licenses.

License agreement for one user

This license does not allow distribution of our software (our TrueType or other fonts, or our software components). You will be in violation CIA's copyright, if you allow our fonts or software to be used by more than the number of people specified in the licenses you have purchased.

This license allows one person to utilise our software (our TrueType or other fonts, or our software components) on one machine, to generate or print bar codes from data that person has input.

If you use batch processing, or any other system where more than one person can input data, which directly, or indirectly, causes bar codes to be generated or printed at any time, you must purchase a license for each person.

There must be no possibility that the number of people who are able to utilise our software (our TrueType or other fonts, or our software components) will ever exceed the number of licensed users specified in the licenses you have purchased.

TrueType fonts or other fonts

Our TrueType fonts or other fonts are a critical and valuable part of this software product and are licensed under the same licensing terms as all of our software components.

... Additional people or machines

To allow additional people to generate or print bar codes using the data they have input, you must purchase a license for each additional person. 

If you install our software (our TrueType or other fonts, or our software components) on additional machines, you must purchase a license for each additional machine; to allow one person to use the software on that machine.

<->... Sharing or distributing; documents, forms, reports, etc.

If you create; documents, forms, reports, etc., which contain bar codes, or which generate or print bar codes, any other person who wishes to use them must purchase a license.

->... Applications developed for internal use

In terms of licensing, there is no difference between applications developed for internal use, or applications developed for use by another company or organisation. See section Applications developed for distribution.

If you place an application on a network, and that application uses our TrueType or other fonts, or our software components, you must purchase a license for each person who has access. It is a criminal offence to allow users on a network to access unlicensed software.

If you develop an application which you deliver to people in another company or organisation, or to people in your own company, you must purchase licenses for each person to utilise our software (our TrueType or other fonts, or our software components) to generate or print bar codes from data that person has input.

To distribute our software (our TrueType or other fonts, or our software components) with your application, you must purchase licenses for each person that will use your application on any machine, to directly, or indirectly, cause bar codes to be generated or printed from data they have input.

If your application supports batch processing, or any other system where more than one person can input data, which directly, or indirectly, causes bar codes to be generated or printed at any time, you must purchase a license for each person.

>> Transferring the software

You may transfer all of your rights to use the software to another person, as long as you transfer all disks, documentation and licenses. You must also destroy or transfer all copies. Once you have transferred the software, you will no longer have any right to use it, and the person it is transferred to may use it only in accordance with the copyright law and this statement.

Backup

Our software (TrueType fonts, software components, etc.) is protected by copyright law. You may make one backup copy of our software only to protect your investment from loss.

Limited warranty

Notify CIA within ninety (90) days of any defect in media or manuals with respect to materials or workmanship and, if CIA determine this to be correct, CIA will replace the defective media or manuals.

Liability for breach of this limited warranty is limited to replacement of defective media or documentation and shall not include any damages, even if CIA has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event will CIA be liable for any damages to you or any other person ever exceed the price paid for the software.
